He has headlined some of the world's most prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, Grand Palace in Brussels and the Rossiya Theatre in Moscow! A partial list of his many awards include:
- Entertainer of the Year, Academy of Country Music
- Comedy Act of the Year, Academy of Country Music
- Picker of the Year, Playboy Magazine's Reader's PolL
- Best Country Guitarist, Guitar Magazine
- Grammy Award for "Alabama Jubilee"
Roy became a Grand Ole Opry member in 1987. He was a favorite recurring actor on the classic television sitcom "The Beverly Hillbillies" which spawned several acting roles on television and the movies. Roy was the first country music artist to guest host Johnny Carson's Tonight Show! He also hosted the incomparable "Hee Haw" show for over two decades.
Known as the "First Lady of Country Fiddling" Jana Jae was introduced to the classic study of the violin, on a 1/8 sized instrument, at the age of two. But she credits her love of country music to the direction and inspiration or her grandfather who was an accomplished and champion fiddler in his own right. She continued her training and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in music and studied abroad at the Vienna Academy of Music.
She taught music for several years until she got her big break at a Buck Owens concert when she was invited up on the stage to play the "Orange Blossom Special." Buck was so impressed he offered her a job as the first female member or his "Buckaroos" band. She later became part of the regular team of performers on the "Hee Haw" show where viewers tuned in each week to see her perform with her trademark blue fiddle.
Duke Mason is a special performer because of his unique height of only 46 inches. However, his talent and charismatic personality bring a respect and dignity to his singing that only few are chosen to have. A truly multi-talented and exciting performer, Duke sings, plays guitar, keyboard, bass and drums. He began performing early in life as member of his family's gospel group, and then went on to be a featured entertainer at the Precious Moments Chapel and Fountain of Angels show in Carthage, Missouri.
Today, Duke is one of the most "in-demand" entertainers in the Midwest. Whether performing with a band or as a solo artist, his concerts are full of energy, comedy, and stunning vocal dexterity. As anyone who has ever seen Duke perform can tell you, Christmas is his favorite holiday and he is always willing to sing a holiday favorite no matter what time of the year it is.
