You must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
Image Guidelines:
* JPG or GIF format only. Grayscale or Colour (RGB). Minimum size: 8 x 10" or 800 x 600 pixels.
* Important: ensure you have a high-resolution version of each image that you submit (uncompressed TIFF or maximum quality JPEG, Grayscale or Colour (RGB), 300 dpi with a minimum final print size of 8 x 10"). Should any of your images be selected as a winning entry, the high-resolution version will be required. Failing to provide a high-resolution version could compromise your win.
* All photographers must hold copyright to their submitted images.
* Unfortunately, we cannot accept mailed submissions. All submissions are by electronic entry form only.
Fees:
There are no fees; it is FREE to enter your "Hot Dog" in this contest!
Deadline:
All entries will be moderated and posted to fourstateshomepage.com within 5 business days of submission. The contest will be closed at 11:59 pm Central Time November 30, 2009.
How Winners Are Determined:
Our viewers will vote during all days the contest is live. When the contest is closed, our panel of judges will view the top vote receiving Hot Dogs. Winners are decided by viewer votes and judge review. The top 12 Hot Dogs based on viewer votes and judges decisions will be featured in our 2010 Hot Dog Calendar. All proceeds from calendar sales will go to benefit the Joplin Humane Society. Calendars will be available for purchase by mid-December.
Notification:
Winners will be contacted by phone and/or e-mail within 24 hours of being selected. The winners will have 48 hours after contact to respond and claim their place in the calendar. We will also be posting the winners on fourstateshomepage.com by 5 p.m. on December 3, 2009.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Prizes:
TBA. KSN, KODE, and fourstateshomepage.com reserve the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value once prizes have been posted. KSN, KODE, and fourstateshomepage.com reserve the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within the KSN/KODE viewing area.
Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest coordinators, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Publication Rights:
KSN, KODE, and fourstateshomepage.com reserve publication rights of the winning and/or honorable mention images for the Hot Dog Calendar 2010 contest. Entrants further grant to KSN, KODE, and fourstateshomepage.com the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.
Copyright and Ownership:
Entrants must own all rights to the works submitted and are solely responsible for acquiring model or property releases, as applicable. As such, contestants hold the publisher and contest sponsors harmless from any breach of copyright in Canada, the USA, and elsewhere and from consequential litigation.
The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, Inc., and/or SecondStreetMedia. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
UPICKEM and SecondStreetMedia are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to notification.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
